Rocky Horror Prop List Instructions

Chunky’s is excited to bring the popular cult classic film to our big screens for the very first time! It is said Rocky Horror is the first and only true audience participation movie. Therefore, props are allowed Costumes are strongly encouraged! Below is a specific list of props which will be allowed at our locations along with theater rules & regulations. We want these showings to be as enjoyable as possible so please respect other guests and our theaters. Guests who bring in props not listed below and fail to adhere to the instructions below will be asked to leave.  
Rice: At the beginning of the film is the wedding of Ralph Hapschatt and Betty Munroe. As the newlyweds exit the church, you should toss the rice along like the on-screen wedding guests.
  • One small handful of rice to be thrown per guest.  Directly in the air, near you. Not at screen or at other customers.

Newspapers: When Brad and Janet are caught in the storm, Janet covers her head with a newspaper The “Plain Dealer”. At this point, you should likewise cover your head.

Water pistols: These are used by members of the audience to simulate the rainstorm that Brad and Janet are caught in. (Now do you see why you should use the newspapers?)
  • Only small squirt guns –water only.  No super soakers.  Squirt water in the air, not at people (especially near food/drink).  Do not squirt any Chunky’s staff.

Flashlights/Cell Phones: During the “There’s a light” verse of “Over at the Frankenstein Place.
  •  No lighters.

Rubber gloves: During and after the creation speech, Frank snaps his rubber gloves three times. Later, Magenta pulls these gloves off his hands. You should snap your gloves in sync each time to create a fantastic sound effect.

Noisemakers: At the end of the creation speech, the Transylvanians respond with applause and noisemakers. You should do the same.

Confetti: At the end of the “Charles Atlas Song” reprise, the Transylvanians throw confetti as Rocky and Frank head toward the bedroom. You should do the same.
  •  One small handful of Confetti per guest only.  Throw in the air near you.  Not at other people or screen (keep clear of food and drink).

Toast: When Frank proposes a toast at dinner, members of the audience throw toast into the air.
  • Two pieces of toast per guest only.  Thrown directly in the air, not at other customers or at screen.

Party Hat: At the dinner table, when Frank puts on a party hat, you should do the same.

Bell: During the song “Planet Schmanet Janet,” ring the bell when Frank sings “Did you hear a bell ring?”

Cards: During the song “I’m Going Home,” Frank sings “Cards for sorrow, cards for pain”
  •   One deck of cards or less per guest only.  Please throw directly in the air near you.  No at screen or customers.

Toilet Paper:
  • One roll per party please!
