Chunky’s Cinema in Manchester, Pelham and Nashua are now offering LIVE Comedy Fundraisers in our theaters! The best part? THERE IS NO ROOM RENTAL FEE! If you have been inside one of our unique theaters, then you know our set up is built around comfort. All of our theaters are filled with with leather, reclineable leather chairs that guests sink into & we have a full restaurant menu and liquor license at your disposal. Once you sit, there is no need to get up as we have servers who take your order right at your table!

Chunky’s has a long list of professional comedians who will work your comedy fundraising event at Chunky’s. These comedians have seen time on Comedy Central, NESN Comedy All-Stars, and have won prestigious Boston Comedy Festival Awards! Just let us know if you want the act to be clean, PG-13 or R and we’ll book the perfect group of comedians to work your event. Chunky’s is the perfect spot to host a live comedy fundraising event!

HERE IS HOW THE PROCESS WORKS:

Submit an online live comedy fundraiser request or call us directly

We’ll work with you to pick a date (Monday-Thursday) typically 4-6 weeks in advance to host your Live Comedy Fundraising Event at Chunky’s Manchester, Pelham or Nashua.

Once you are officially booked, we will inform you of the 3 professional comedians we were able to book to preform at your fundraising event.

We will supply you with digital copies of flyers and tickets to advertise and sell in advance.

HOW YOU RAISE MONEY:

  • Ticket Sales. Tickets sell for a minimum of $20 each with a 50/50 split or $10 going to your group for each ticket sold. If you sold 180 tickets for $20 each, your group would earn $1800!
  • Chunky’s allows you to have a table in theater free of charge reserved for Silent Auction items as an additional way to increase fundraising revenue.

LIVE COMEDY FUNDRAISER FAQ

What dates are available for our comedy fundraiser?

Our Live Comedy Fundraising Events can be booked Monday – Thursday. There are some black-out dates throughout the year such as school vacation weeks and holidays such as Labor Day, Memorial Day, etc.

How much do we sell the tickets for?

The Comedy Fundraising tickets should be sold for no less than $20.  The split is always 50/50 between Chunky’s and your group.

Do the tickets include food or drink?

No, the ticket is for the price of entry for comedy entertainment.  We will have our full food and drink menu available and servers inside the theater if they choose to purchase food and drink while at the event.

How far in advance should we book our fundraiser?

Live Comedy Fundraisers at Chunky’s should be booked early enough to give your fundraising team at least 4-6 weeks to sell the tickets.

What time do we need to arrive at the theater?

Everyone should arrive one hour before the comedy start time for your event for dinner, drinks & to view your silent auction table (if you choose to have one).  Customers can order food and drink during the show also.

How long to these comedy fundraising events last?

Comedians will perform for 1.5 to 2 hours total.  For example, if your comedy fundraiser event starts at 7pm, plan for it to end at 9pm.

How do our fundraising customers pay for their ticket?

Ticket sales are 100% managed by your group.  We will supply you with a digital copy of the ticket for you to print as many as you need.  Your team will sell tickets to friends, family and community members.  Customers can pay your group cash or check written to your organization.

How do we pay Chunky’s for their share of ticket sales?

Payment for Chunky’s portion of ticket sales is due at the event.  Check is made payable to Chunky’s Cinema Pub.

When do I confirm the number of people attending?

We will periodically work with you before the start of the event to track ticket sales.  This helps us figure out how to staff your event appropriately and what size theater your group will go in.  We ask that 95% of your ticket sales are completed 24 – 48 hours before the start of your event.

Is there a minimum ticket sales amount we need to reach?

Yes, there is a 100 tickets sold guarantee for a comedy fundraiser at Chunky’s.  If your group sells less than 100 tickets, you must pay for the amount of tickets to make up the difference at the cost owed to Chunky’s.  This minimum is in place to cover the cost of the comedians performing at your event.

What happens if we need to cancel the event?

If the event is cancelled 14 days or before, your group is responsible for 50% of the 100 ticket sales guarantee portion owed to Chunky’s.  This excludes extreme weather conditions the night of the show or act of god preventing the show from taking place. Example:  With the 50/50 split in ticket sales and assuming you are selling each ticket for $20 each.  If the event is 7 days away and you cancel the show, Chunky’s is owed 50 tickets x $10 = $500 due immediately.

Can we choose what comedians we want to perform at our show?

You can certainly make the request, however we cannot guarantee that specific comedian on our list is available.  We assure you that all of the comedians we work with are professional and very funny.

What is the event rated?

It’s up to you!  Let us know if you want the show to be clean or not or inbetween and we’ll book you the right acts!
